Millwize, a Mumbai-based food startup, is expanding its presence across major Indian metro cities with a large-scale campaign aimed at promoting millet-based snacking. The company plans to distribute nearly 10 million sample packs of its millet cookies to households in cities such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The initiative is designed to encourage consumers to explore healthier snack alternatives made from traditional grains.
The brand focuses on clean-label products that are gluten-free and free from refined sugar, trans fats, palm oil, artificial colours, and preservatives. Instead of processed sweeteners, the products use natural ingredients like jaggery and dates. By offering free samples directly to consumers, the company hopes to increase awareness and build trust in millet-based foods through firsthand experience.
Millwize is also working on improving the nutritional quality and digestibility of millet products through scientific processing techniques and traditional methods such as sprouting. The company believes that modern consumers are increasingly looking for snacks that combine nutrition, convenience, and natural ingredients without compromising on taste.
With growing awareness about healthy eating and sustainable food choices, millet-based products are steadily gaining popularity in urban markets. Through its metro expansion and sampling campaign, Millwize aims to make traditional grains a regular part of modern Indian diets while supporting the broader movement towards nutritious and clean-label foods.
