Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled a bold initiative aimed at turning one lakh women into successful entrepreneurs within a year. Speaking at the International Women’s Day celebrations in Markapuram, he emphasized that women must be financially independent and play a leading role in the state’s economic development.

To make this vision a reality, the government has partnered with 24 organizations to help women launch businesses and promote their products. A generous 45% investment subsidy will also be provided, ensuring that financial barriers don’t hold aspiring women back.

Naidu pointed to his wife, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, who has both managed a successful business and contributed to public welfare, as an example of how capable and impactful women can be in leadership and enterprise.

In addition, a new safety tool, the Shakti App, was launched to enhance women’s security, promising a response time of under seven minutes in emergencies. Plans are also underway to set up innovation centers in key cities and industrial parks in every constituency, creating more spaces and opportunities for women to grow their businesses.

This multifaceted approach aims to create a thriving environment where women are not only supported but encouraged to lead, innovate, and transform their futures. Would you like a visual summary or infographic of this plan
