Bhadragiri Mart to Bring Organic and Millet Foods Closer to Consumers

 

Bhadragiri Mart is being set up in Bhadrachalam to support tribal women and local farmers. The aim of this initiative is to give them a direct place to sell their products so they can earn better income without relying on middlemen.

The project is led by the Bhadradri Kothagudem district administration. Senior officials recently visited the site and said that the mart will create good income opportunities for tribal self-help groups, small businesses, and farmers.

The mart will offer a variety of locally made and natural products. These include millet-based foods, organic flours, spices, traditional snacks, herbal items, honey, and cold-pressed oils. Essential items like rice, pulses, and millets will also be available.

This initiative will help tribal women grow their businesses in a more organized way. It will also encourage people to buy fresh, local, and natural products.

Overall, Bhadragiri Mart is expected to improve livelihoods, support traditional products, and empower tribal communities.
