Italian Chef Valentino Rahim paid a unique tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the eve of his 75th birthday in Rome by preparing a special tricolour millet pizza at the popular restaurant Zoya. The dish was not just a culinary creation but also a symbolic gesture to highlight PM Modi’s global vision for promoting millets as a superfood to tackle food security, environmental concerns, and healthier lifestyles. The choice of millet as the base reflected a growing international recognition of India’s push for sustainable and nutritious alternatives.

The pizza carried the colours of the Indian national flag, saffron, white, and green, beautifully represented with natural toppings and sauces. Each colour symbolised respect for India’s cultural heritage and PM Modi’s leadership in championing millets, also known as “Shree Anna.” Chef Rahim extended his warm greetings in Italian, saying “Tanti Auguri Modi,” which translates to “many, many best wishes,” to celebrate the Prime Minister’s milestone birthday.

Chef Rahim praised PM Modi for his efforts to integrate millets into mainstream diets worldwide. He noted that promoting millets is not just about healthy eating but also about addressing critical issues such as farmer welfare, global nutrition challenges, and sustainable agricultural practices. He further described Modi’s approach as both inspiring and innovative, positioning millets as a food of the future. His tricolour pizza became the first of its kind in an Italian restaurant, underlining the growing global acceptance of India’s millet movement.

PM Modi has played a pivotal role in driving international recognition for millets, a campaign that ultimately led to the United Nations declaring 2023 as the International Year of Millets. The initiative has strengthened awareness about the nutritional value and environmental benefits of these ancient grains, encouraging more countries to include them in their diets.

As India celebrates PM Modi’s 75th birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a 15-day nationwide campaign called Seva Pakhwada. The programme will run from September 17 to October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti. It will include blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and exhibitions highlighting the achievements of the central government. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav confirmed the extensive plans for this campaign to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday.

Adding to the celebrations, the National Award-winning film Chalo Jeete Hain is set for a re-release across India. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy, the film reflects the message that true success comes from living for others, aligning with PM Modi’s vision of service and leadership.
