RCPL Boosts Presence in Millet and Health Foods Segment

Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), the consumer goods division of Reliance Industries, has acquired Southern Health Foods Private Limited for ₹156.42 crore.

Southern Health Foods is a well-known company in South India, especially in Tamil Nadu. It is popular for its “Manna” brand, which offers nutritious products such as millet-based foods, health mixes, baby foods, and breakfast items.

With this acquisition, Southern Health Foods will now function as a wholly owned subsidiary of RCPL. The move is part of RCPL’s strategy to expand its presence in the health and nutrition segment.

According to RCPL director T. Krishnakumar, the Manna brand has built strong trust among consumers over the years. He mentioned that RCPL plans to strengthen the brand further by using its wide distribution network to introduce these products to more regions across India.

This acquisition supports RCPL’s goal of growing its footprint in the health-focused food market and expanding its consumer product portfolio nationwide.
