The Hotel Federation of Rajasthan, in collaboration with the Food Safety Department of Rajasthan, hosted a seminar at Hotel Indiana Pride in Jaipur, focusing on food safety, hygiene, and millet promotion. Rajasthan's Food Safety Commissioner, Iqbal Khan, attended as a distinguished guest.
At the seminar, Additional Commissioner Pankaj Ojha addressed key issues such as sanitation, hygiene, and the Food Safety Act. He also emphasized the Chief Minister’s vision for a healthier Rajasthan. Mr. Ojha highlighted the severe penalties for food adulteration and urged attendees to report any cases of adulteration to ensure prompt action. He reaffirmed the department's commitment to ensuring pure food for everyone and sought support from hotels, restaurants, and other stakeholders to enhance public health.
Omkar Singh Lakhawat, Chairman of the Rajasthan Heritage Authority and Minister of State, commended the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan for organizing the seminar with the Health Department. He noted that these efforts significantly bolster the Chief Minister’s initiative to promote millets, spreading a positive message across the state. Lakhawat encouraged the inclusion of millets in daily diets to help prevent diseases and stressed that collaboration between the tourism sector and the Food Safety Department would benefit the entire state.
Hussain Khan, President of the Federation, remarked that the seminar provided valuable information that members will disseminate across the tourism industry in Rajasthan. This supports their mission of ensuring tourists receive pure and safe food. The Federation is also backing the Chief Minister's campaigns against food adulteration and in favor of millets. Khan expressed gratitude for the comprehensive presentations from department officials and announced that future seminars will be organized by different divisions.
Deputy Commissioner S.N. Dhaulpuriya, along with Sushil Chotwani, Ratan Godara, and other officials, shared their expertise with Federation members. The seminar was attended by numerous leaders and representatives from various organizations, including Catering Association President Dilip Sevaniya, Trade Federation Jaipur President Subhash Goyal, General Secretary Suresh Saini, Hospitality Federation of Rajasthan President Kuldeep, and Bar and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan President Dilip Tiwari. Notable attendees also included Ajit Bansal and representatives from prominent hotels such as Marriott, Highway King, Jai Mahal, Hilton, Fairmont, Taj, Rambagh Palace, Fern, Rawat Mishthan Bhandar, and Kanji Mishthan Bhandar, as well as medium and budget hotels.
