During a public address in Mandya, Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a set of nine appeals aimed at encouraging citizens to actively contribute to the country’s development. Speaking after inaugurating a memorial at the Adichunchanagiri Mutt, he stressed that collective efforts from individuals play a crucial role in nation-building.

He urged people to adopt simple yet impactful practices such as conserving water, planting trees, keeping surroundings clean, and supporting locally made products. Promoting domestic tourism was also highlighted as a way to strengthen the economy and cultural connections.

Focusing on health and well-being, the Prime Minister encouraged a shift towards better lifestyle choices. He advised reducing the intake of cooking oil and incorporating traditional, nutritious foods like millets into daily diets. He also spoke about the importance of regular physical activity, including yoga, to maintain overall fitness.

Additionally, he called on farmers to explore natural farming methods and emphasised the value of community service in building a more responsible society. He expressed confidence that if citizens adopt these practices, it would contribute significantly to the vision of a more developed and self-reliant India.
