On Tuesday morning, PM Modi warmly welcomed PM Anwar at Rashtrapati Bhavan to kick off his three-day State Visit to India. This visit marks PM Anwar’s first official trip to India since he took office. After the welcome ceremony, the two leaders will discuss their countries' relationship. The celebration included a lunch with a mix of Indian and Malay dishes, highlighting the benefits and versatility of millets.
The menu featured dishes that skillfully combined Indian and Southeast Asian flavors. The "Subz Laksa" was a tasty fusion of Indian and Malaysian cuisines, with noodles and vegetables in a rich, spicy coconut broth flavored with Indian herbs. The "Pearl Makhani Wonton" offered a creative twist: phyllo dough filled with a spiced mixture of pearl millet, cottage cheese, and herbs, served with a honey-chili dip for a sweet and spicy touch.
