A recent Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting was held at the Upper Siang Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) to discuss various topics, including on-farm trials, frontline demonstrations, and extension activities. The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing projects and exploring ways to improve agricultural practices in the region.

During the meeting, the annual progress report for 2024-25 was presented, highlighting key achievements and challenges. The proposed action plan for 2025-26 was also shared, outlining future initiatives to support farmers and enhance agricultural productivity.

As part of the program, KVK Marketing Director TD Neckom inaugurated the Indigenous Pulses and Millets Museum at the KVK. He praised the team’s efforts in establishing the museum and appreciated their work in collecting and showcasing traditional pulses and millets from different parts of Arunachal Pradesh.

The museum, led by KVK Head Dr. Oyinti Megu and her team, aims to promote awareness about the importance of pulses and millets. It serves as a platform to preserve traditional knowledge, support local farmers, and educate visitors on the nutritional and environmental benefits of these crops.
