PM Modi Embarks on a Three-Day Visit to Gujarat, Engaging in Cultural and Environmental Activities
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat on Saturday for a three-day visit, packed with cultural and environmental engagements. His itinerary began with his arrival at Jamnagar Airport, where he spent the night at the Circuit House before continuing his journey across the state. During his stay in Jamnagar, PM Modi is residing in the Rangmati Room at the Circuit House.
On Sunday, PM Modi will visit Vantara, an animal rescue and rehabilitation center run by Reliance, followed by a trip to the famous Sasan Gir National Park. Later, he will travel to Somnath in the Gir district to offer prayers at the historic Somnath Mahadev Temple. Gujarat Minister Mulubhai Bera confirmed that preparations are in place to welcome the Prime Minister as he tours Jamnagar, Dwarka, and Gir districts. PM Modi’s deep connection to Saurashtra is well known, and his visit has generated excitement across the region.
Earlier, PM Modi met with former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who is currently in India. Their meeting highlighted their shared appreciation for millets as a nutritional powerhouse, a topic discussed during Abbott’s visit to Dilli Haat in New Delhi. The Millets Experience Centre, launched in April 2023 by former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and NAFED's Rajbir Singh, aims to promote awareness and adoption of millets in Indian diets. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare continues to champion this initiative, encouraging healthier dietary choices across the country.
