School Notes: Delhi Public School Chandigarh - Recent Events and Achievements

 

The school recently held its annual inter-DPS environment festival, "El Entorno," organized by The DPS Society. More than 200 students from 18 DPS schools across the country took part in various online and onsite events. The festival was opened by Dolly Chanana, the Joint Director of the society. On the second day, V. Neeraja, IPS, ADGP of Cyber Crime in Punjab, was the Chief Guest. The event wrapped up with a closing ceremony, where DPS Faridabad was declared the overall champion and received the trophy.


 

The school recently held a two-day "Training of Trainers" (TOT) program organized by CBSE and ISTM. The event featured several respected speakers, including Sanjeev Gupta, Deputy Director of ISTM; Ramandeep Kaur, Head of the COE for the CBSE Panchkula Region; Pratik Ghosh, Head of IHMC in Chandigarh; and Seema Jerath, Principal of DLF School in Delhi. Principals and postgraduate teachers (PGTs) from various CBSE-affiliated schools took part in the program. The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Shekhar Chandra, Regional Officer of Panchkula, and Seema Khakha, Head of the COE in Panchkula.

 

The school recently held a cluster-level millet fair to highlight the importance of millets for healthy living. The fair featured a variety of tasty dishes made from millets like ragi, jowar, bajra, and foxtail millet. Students prepared and presented each dish beautifully. Principal Monika Puri emphasized the need to include millets in our daily diets for better nutrition.
