A workshop titled "Millets for Health and Healing" is scheduled for Sunday, September 29, at 10:30 AM at the Sri Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled in Metagalli. Organized by Parents in Action for Development, Health, and Adaptation (PADHA), the event aims to highlight the nutritional benefits of millet, especially for individuals with special needs.
This initiative seeks to educate attendees on how millets can play a vital role in enhancing health and wellness.
The keynote speaker for the workshop, Padma Shree Dr. Khadar Valli Dudekula, will present on "Lifestyle Changes and Dietary Adjustments for Better Health and Healing." He will focus on the importance of incorporating millets into everyday diets, showcasing their potential to improve overall health outcomes.
In addition to Dr. Khadar’s talk, Saswati Singh, a committed special educator and advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, will discuss "Millet-Based Dietary Interventions for Special Needs Children." Her insights will provide practical strategies for using millet to address the dietary needs of children with food allergies and other special requirements.
The program will feature a discussion on the various health benefits associated with millet consumption, allowing attendees to grasp the significance of these grains in promoting well-being.
Following the presentations, there will be an interactive session where participants can engage with the speakers, ask questions, and share their experiences.
