During his two-day visit to Israel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was served a specially prepared meal in Jerusalem. The menu was carefully designed to reflect both Indian and Israeli culinary traditions.

The meal was arranged by noted restaurateur Reena Pushkarna, a recipient of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award. She created a balanced selection of dishes that combined Gujarati flavors with popular Israeli specialties.

The Indian portion of the menu featured traditional Gujarati items made from pearl millet, other millets, and dry fruits. These dishes were freshly prepared to ensure authenticity and quality.

Alongside the Indian food, the Prime Minister was also offered well-known Israeli vegetarian dishes such as hummus, tahini, falafel, and fresh local salads.

Pushkarna shared that preparing the meal was a special and meaningful experience. She also recalled that Modi had previously enjoyed Israeli cuisine during an earlier visit when he served as Chief Minister of Gujarat.

The visit was seen as significant, with hopes that stronger ties between the two nations would continue to grow.
