Launching a Healthier Society: Introducing the HNA Council with 1,000 Doctors

 

The Health and Nutrition Ambassador (HNA) Council, led by the National Millets Media Portal, aims to create a healthier society. Oct 3rd, at a press conference at the Somajiguda Press Club in Hyderabad, the council was officially introduced, starting with a group of 50 dedicated doctors.

 Dr. Monica Sravanthi, Council Coordinator, shared its vision and goals. Dr. Monica Sravanthi explained that the HNA Council wants to help graduates become Health and Nutrition Ambassadors. These ambassadors will share important information about health and nutrition in their communities.

The council will focus on: 

Understanding dietary needs 

The benefits of millets in preventing chronic diseases 

Meal planning with millets Nutritious cooking techniques 

Reading food labels and nutritional information 

The differences between processed and whole foods 

Creating balanced diet plans 

Healthy eating habits for weight management 

Addressing common nutritional deficiencies

Understanding metabolism and digestion 

Tips for healthy eating on a budget 

The importance of hydration 

Understanding supplements and vitamins 

Building healthy eating habits for families 

Community nutrition education strategies 

Evaluating dietary changes 

Mr. Srinivas Sarakadam, Chairman of the National Millets Media Portal, announced plans to expand the HNA Council to 1,000 doctors by the end of the year. This will include professionals from fields like naturopathy, allopathy, and ayurveda. He also mentioned a new community portal for the HNA Council, launching next month. This portal will allow doctors to share articles, health tips, and nutrition insights to help members learn more. 

To become an HNA, candidates need a degree in any subject and will complete a 20-session training program with experienced doctors. Interested individuals can call 8500384791 or register at www.hnacouncil.com. 

Additionally, Mr. Srinivas Sarakadam announced a three-month action plan to raise awareness in the two Telugu states, covering 1,280 areas, with plans to expand to other states next year. 

Several respected doctors, including Dr. Akhilaja, Dr. Shaik Mohammed Tabrez, Dr. Sravani Santhoshi, Dr. Srikanth, Dr. Teja Spandana, and Dr. Gayathri, participated in the event. With the HNA Council's focus on improving health and nutrition awareness, a healthier society is on the horizon.
