Millet Stakeholder Summit 2025 Kicks Off at T-Hub, Hyderabad with a Grand Inaugural

 

Hyderabad, India – May 2025:
The Millet Stakeholder Summit 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm at T-Hub, Hyderabad, drawing key stakeholders from across the millet ecosystem. The summit opened with a powerful inaugural session that brought together government leaders, scientists, industry stalwarts, and innovators—all unified in their mission to mainstream millets and promote sustainable food systems.

The session was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Vijay Paul Sharma, Chairman of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP), whose presence underscored the government’s commitment to policy-backed support for millet cultivation and commercialization.

The session was presided over by Dr. (Mrs.) C. Tara Satyavathi, Director of the ICAR–Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR), with notable contributions from Dr. B. Dayakar Rao, CEO of Nutrihub–ICAR-IIMR.

The industry’s voice was strongly represented by prominent leaders:

• Mr. S. Shivkumar from ITC Limited
• Mr. Jagdeep Marahar from Nestlé India
• Chef Manjeet Singh Gill, President of the Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA)

Adding a global perspective, Mr. Mijanur Rahman of PepsiCo India delivered a special video address, reaffirming corporate commitment to integrating millets into mainstream product lines.

The scientific community from ICAR-IIMR was also well-represented, including:
