In a remarkable initiative to promote the health and sustainability benefits of millets, Tata Soulfull has launched the "Desh ke Millets" School Connect Drive in celebration of International Millets Day. The program has successfully reached over 38 schools in Bengaluru, educating 27,000 students about the advantages of incorporating millets into their diets.

Building on this success, the drive has expanded its footprint to 100 schools across six cities, impacting over 1 lakh students. Tata Soulfull is now gearing up to reach an additional 1 lakh students nationwide while aiming to engage 50 schools in Bengaluru by the end of the year.

This initiative focuses on educating young minds about the nutritional value and environmental benefits of millets, encouraging them to adopt these grains as a staple food choice. Highlighting the program’s significance, Prashant Parameswaran, President of Tata Soulfull, emphasized, “Educating the next generation about millets’ potential is crucial for fostering a healthier and more sustainable future.”

With the growing popularity of millets as a superfood and the United Nations designating 2023 as the International Year of Millets, Tata Soulfull’s efforts align with the global agenda to boost awareness and adoption of this ancient grain. Through engaging activities and outreach programs, the "Desh ke Millets" initiative aspires to cultivate a millet-conscious generation, fostering a positive shift toward healthier eating habits and sustainable food practices.

This school connect drive exemplifies Tata Soulfull’s commitment to empowering communities with knowledge about nutritious food choices and sustainable living, creating a lasting impact on the dietary habits of India’s youth.
