The increasing global popularity of millets, often referred to as minor grains, is well-documented. More individuals are now aware of their benefits, leading to a higher consumption of millets in households. The recent emergence of millet milk abroad is particularly noteworthy, making it accessible for everyone to prepare at home.

Ancient grains like millets offer a wide array of health benefits when incorporated into one's diet. Examples include ragi, bajra, jowar, rice, maize, barley, and oats, all packed with essential nutrients. Recently, 'millet milk' has gained recognition for its health-promoting properties.

Ingredients:

· 1 cup millets

· 6 cups water

· 3 tablespoons honey

Preparation:

To prepare millet milk, start by selecting your preferred type of millets. In a pressure cooker, combine one cup of millets with six cups of water. Securely close the lid and cook over low heat until you hear about five whistles.

After the pressure subsides, transfer the cooked millets to a bowl. Add two cups of water to one cup of millets and blend until smooth using a juicer. Strain the blended mixture through a fine sieve into a glass. Sweeten the millet milk with honey to taste. Your delicious millet milk is now ready to enjoy.

Store the millet milk in the refrigerator where it can keep for up to ten days. Nutrition experts recommend millet milk as a potent remedy for individuals suffering from anemia. Regular consumption of millet milk can also help those with low energy levels. Therefore, experts advise serving children a glass of millet milk daily to enhance their health and vitality.
